The Foundation's programs and interests include science and technology, standard of living and economic performance, education and careers in science and technology, national issues, and more. Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship for Colleges (GWMSC) Designed to identify, recognize, and reward well-rounded students and adults who intend to undertake full-time study at a participating college. Fund for Teachers A foundation whose mission is to enrich the lives of schoolteachers and students by providing outstanding teachers with recognition and opportunities for summer learning and exploration. Fund for Teachers provides funds for direct grants to teachers to support summer sabbaticals of their own design. Arthur Vining Davis Foundations Provides financial assistance to educational, cultural, scientific, and religious institutions. Spencer Foundation Grants funds to support research which contributes to the understanding and improvement of education. Grant programs include funding for faculty research and a variety of fellowship programs. Federal Pell Grants Grants that do not have to be repaid and are generally awarded to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or professional degree. Broad Foundation Funds grants to improve urban school district leadership. Edward E. Grants.gov Allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all federal grant-making agencies. Grants.gov is the single access point for over 1000 grant programs offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies. American Association of University Women Educational Foundation Provides grants for professional development and projects designed to advance girls' achievement in math, science, and technology. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) program is for undergraduates with exceptional financial need. Pell Grant recipients with the lowest expected family contributions (EFCs) will be considered first for a FSEOG. Just like Pell Grants, the FSEOG does not have to be repaid. National SMART Grant The National Science and Mathematics Access to Retain Talent Grant, also known as the National Smart Grant is available during the third and fourth years of undergraduate study to full-time students who are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and who are majoring in physical, life, or computer sciences, mathematics, technology, or engineering or in a foreign language determined critical to national security. |
